【摘要】:MonitoringWeighingPerformance8212;Thispracticeprovidesresultsintheformofcontrolchartswhichmeasuretheweighingcapabilityatthetimeofthetest.Aseriesoftestsatappropriateintervalswillmonitorbalanceperformanceoveraperiodoftime.Amarkedchangefromexpectedperformancemayresultfromavarietyofcausesincluding:maladjustment,damage,dirt,foreignmaterial,andthermaldisturbances.Ifthetestresultsaretoindicatefutureperformance,anydisturbancesthatoccurexteriortothebalancemustbebroughtundercontrol(2).AcceptanceTests8212;Thispracticemayalsobeusedasacceptancetestsfornewbalances.Forthispurpose,thetestsshouldbeconductedunderfavorable,butnotnecessarilyideal,conditions.Sincesystematicerrorinthecourseofthezeroandthecourseofthesensitivitymaybecausedbydisturbancesexternaltothebalance,limitsontheseerrorsarenotordinarilyprescribedinacceptancerequirements.1.1Thispracticecoverstestingproceduresforevaluatingtheperformanceofsingle-armbalancesrequiredbyASTMstandards.1.2Thispracticeisintendedforbutnotlimitedtosensitivityratiosof106orbetterandon-scalerangesof1000xdormorewhered=reabilityeitherdirectlyorbyestimation.1.3Thispracticecanalsobeappliedtoothersingle-panbalanceswithmechanicalweightchangingofdifferentcapacitiesorsensitivitieswithappropriatetestloadsandcalibrationweights.Note18212;Mechanicalbalancesofthistypehavelargelybeenreplacedbyautomaticelectronicbalancesincorporatingavarietyofoperationalprinciples.Nevertheless,somesingle-panmechanicalbalancesarestillmanufacturedandmanyolderbalanceswillremaininserviceforyearstocome.Onetypeofautomaticelectronicbalance,theso-calledx201C;hybrid,x201D;bearsconsiderablesimilaritytosingle-panmechanicalbalancesofthenulltype.(1)1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
