【摘要】:1.1Thisconsumersafetyspecificationestablishesperformancerequirements,testmethods,andmarkingrequirementstopromotesafeuseofahand-heldinfantcarrierbyanoccupantandcaregiver.1.2Thisconsumersafetyspecificationisintendedtominimizetheriskofincidentstoanoccupantresultingfromnormaluseandreasonablyforeseeablemisuseorabuseofahand-heldinfantcarrier.1.3Nohand-heldinfantcarrierproducedaftertheapprovaldateofthisconsumersafetyspecification,eitherbylabelorothermeans,shallindicatecompliancewiththisspecification,unlessitconformstoallrequirementscontainedherein.1.4Thisconsumersafetyspecificationisnotintendedtoaddressaccidentsandinjuriesresultingfromtheinteractionofotherpersonswiththechildoccupantinahand-heldinfantcarrierortheaccidentsresultingfromabuseandmisusebychildrenabletowalk.1.5Thisconsumersafetyspecificationisnotintendedtoaddressincidentsorinjuriesresultingfromuseoftheproductinamotorvehicle,norisitintendedtoaddressanyissuesthatmayarisefromthemanufacturermeetingthecertificationrequirementsofFMVSS-213orotherapplicableadd-onchildrestraintstandards.1.6Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodportion,Section7,ofthisconsumersafetyspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.7Thetestvaluesininch-poundunitsstatedinthisstandardconsumersafetyspecificationaretoberegardedasthestandard.Themetricvaluesinparenthesesaregivenforinformationonly.
