【摘要】:LPGsamplescanchangecompositionduringstorageandusefrompreferentialvaporizationoflighter(lowermolecularweight)hydrocarboncomponents,dissolvedinertgases(N2,Ar,He,andsoforth)andotherdissolvedgases/liquids(NH3,CO2,H2S,H2O,etc.).Carefulselectionofcylindertype,cylindervolume,anduseofinertgasforpressurizingcylindersisrequiredtoensurethatcompositionchangesaresmallenoughtomaintaintheintegrityofLPGwhenusedasaQCreferencematerialforvariousLPGtestmethods.MonitoringofongoingprecisionandbiasonQCmaterialsusingcontrolcharttechniquesinaccordancewithPracticeD6299canbeusedtoestablishtheneedforcalibrationormaintenance.1.1ThispracticecoversinformationforthestorageanduseofLPGsamplesinstandardcylindersofthetypeusedinsamplingmethod,PracticeD1265andfloatingpistoncylindersusedinsamplingmethod,PracticeD3700.1.2ThispracticeisespeciallyapplicablewhentheLPGsampleisusedasaqualitycontrol(QC)referencematerialforLPGtestmethods,suchasgaschromatography(GC)analysis(TestMethodD2163)orvaporpressure(TestMethodD6897)thatuseonlyafewmLpertest,sincerelativelysmallportableDepartmentofTransportation(DOT)cylinders(forexample,20lbcommonbarbecuecylinders)canbeused.Thispracticecanbeappliedtoothertestmethods.However,testmethodsthatrequirealargeamountofsamplepertest(forexample,manualvaporpressureTestMethodD1267)willrequireQCvolumesinexcessof1000LifstoredinstandardDOTcylindersorAmericanSocietyofMechanicalEngineers(ASME)vessels.
