【摘要】:PermanentShearStabilityIndex(PSSI)isameasureofthelossofviscosity,duetoshearing,contributedbyaspecifiedadditive.Note28212;Forexample,aPSSIof50meanstheadditivewilllose50%oftheviscosityitcontributestothefinishedoil.Theselectionofappropriatebasefluidsandadditiveconcentrationstobeusedintestoilsislefttoindividualoperatorsorcompanies.Thesechoiceswilldependontheintendedapplicationfortheadditive.Note38212;PSSImaydependmorestronglyonbasefluid,additiveconcentration,additivechemistry,andthepresenceofotheradditivesforbasefluidsofunusualcomposition(forexample,esters)orifadditivesoutsidethecommonrangeofchemistriesandconcentrationsareused.Cautionshouldbeexercisedwheninterpretingresultsfromdifferentsources.1.1ThispracticespecifiestheprocedureforthecalculationofPermanentShearStabilityIndex(PSSI)ofanadditiveusingviscositiesbeforeandafterashearingprocedure.1.2PSSIiscalculatedforasingleblendcomponentandcanthenbeusedtoestimatetheeffectsofthatcomponentonfinishedlubricantblends.1.3Thispracticeisapplicabletomanyproductsandmayusedatafrommanydifferenttestmethods.Thecalculationispresentedinitsmostgeneralforminordernottorestrictitsuse.
